Our Beliefs

compass1Turlock Covenant Church is made up of people brought together by a common faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Believers of any race and all walks of life are welcome. We accept the responsibility to continue the ministry of Jesus in addressing the needs of our community and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe Worship is more meaningful as we are actively involved in the ministries of Evangelism, Discipleship, Christian Education, Fellowship, Home and World Missions. Our roots are in historical Christianity as it emerged in the Protestant Reformation. We are congregational in organization, evangelical in doctrine and a part of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America. We affirm the centrality and authority of the Bible as the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and conduct. You are invited to join us in our growing community of faith.
For Covenant people, our essential beliefs are summed up in what we call Covenant Affirmations:
We affirm the centrality of the word of God.
We affirm the necessity of the new birth.
We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.
We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.
We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.
We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.
