We believe Life Groups provide for . . .
Transformation – Deepening our relationship with Jesus and helping to transform our lives.
Community – Developing real and authentic relationships where we can know others.
Service – Discovering and using our gifts to serve one another.
Outreach – Demonstrating God’s love as we learn to love one another.
What is a Life Group?
Turlock Covenant life groups are a gathering of eight to twelve individuals or a combination of both couples and individuals who meet in someone’s home for fellowship, Bible study, prayer and encouragement.
We believe that this is the place where significant life change occurs. Life groups are where real life and real issues are discussed. This is the environment where we celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another during the rough and disappointing times. It is a place to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to mature as a follower of Jesus Christ.
In a life group, people develop close friendships, apply the truth of God’s Word to their lives and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It’s also where they pray, care for one another, challenge one another and are missed if they don’t show up.
We realize that it is difficult for the pastoral staff or church leaders to personally minister to all of the needs of everyone who attends our church. That’s why we place such a high premium on group life. It’s how we minister effectively at Turlock Covenant Church.
What can I expect in a Life Group?
Each Life Group at Turlock Covenant decides on a format that best suits the members of the life group. Typically life groups have a time of sharing, a time of Bible or book discussion, prayer and fellowship time. Some groups go deeper, exploring areas of brokenness and pain . . . All seek to find healing
in the grace, forgiveness and love of God expressed by group members.
When do Life Groups meet?
Each Life Group decides when and where it wants to meet. We can help you find groups that are meeting on a particular day of the week and connect you with them.
